At age 64, Racer Tom officially set a new world record for the greatest vertical distance skied downhill in a single year, covering an astounding 16,038,376 vertical feet between November 30, 2024 and November 30, 2025.

Racer Tom’s record season spanned 285 ski days across two continents, logging most of his vertical at Snowbasin Resort and also skiing in Utah, Colorado, California, and during the Southern Hemisphere winter in Chile. His routine often involved skiing from first chair to last every day, with multiple runs and marathon-like persistence that pushed the limits of endurance skiing.
